Dr. Kiran C Patel Institute for Graduate Medical Education
(KPIGME)

It is the sole mission of the Dr. Kiran C Patel Institute for Graduate Medical Education to increase access to quality medical care across the world. The Institute was created as a noticeable lack of residency spots for graduating physicians exists. In concert with the lack of training opportunities, access to quality medical care in rural areas, and a current staffing crisis in the medical field, the KPIGME was conceived.

Dr. Patel’s vision is to not only further his philanthropy and commitment to training over 1,000 physicians a year through U.S. and International Medical Colleges, but then to also ensure that they have quality training spots via U.S. residency programs as well. Currently there are hospitals that are overwhelmed with patients, are consistently short-staffed and surviving off locums physicians. By strategically adding an ACGME-accredited training program to your facility, you can increase quality access to healthcare, decrease physician burn-out and create a continuous pipeline of highly qualified staff for the stability of your institution and community for generations to come.
